I've had "Across the Universe" stuck in my head all day. I'm pretty sure I haven't listened to the song in at least a year, probably longer. So how the hell did it get in my head?? Yet another one of Life's Great Mysteries.
The weather in northern Arizona is absolutely glorious today. It's currently 76 degrees on my deck, the humidity is 5%, there's not a cloud in the sky and, miracle of miracles, the wind isn't blowing like a bastard. Those of you who are still freezing and miserable: Please don't hate me.
Two little birds are building a nest inside one of the ceiling fans on my deck. The mount came loose from the ceiling during a windstorm, leaving a gap big enough for the birds to squeeze through. I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, I'm enjoying the up-close and personal bird watching. On the other hand, I have a vague worry that the birds could start an electrical fire and burn down my house.
"How did Kimber die?"
"Birds."
"Birds."
